ART4TMI Contest
At this year’s EMBC in Copenhagen, we have an exciting opportunity to promote TMI at the EMBS booth during exhibit hours. We will be able to distribute promotional materials or items to increase TMI’s visibility and engage conference attendees. To make the most of this opportunity, we’re launching a TMI Design Contest #ART4TMI!
Create a flyer and/or a visual piece of art to help represent the journal in a creative and inspiring way!
The contest has two parts:
- Art Contest
- Flyer Contest
ART CONTEST
Submit original artwork inspired by our powerful, transformative field of medical imaging. Your piece can draw from areas such as novel acquisition techniques, medical image processing and analysis, visualization and performance, pattern recognition, machine learning, and more!
Design Guidelines
- Size: square format
- Resolution: minimum 300 dpi
FLYER CONTEST
The flyer should include:
- Full name: IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging
- Logos: IEEE and TMI
- TMI’s motto: Our mission is to lead advances in medicine, biology, and imaging sciences
- TMI’s Social Media handles on LinkedIn and Twitter/X
- TMI’s Impact Factor of 8.9
- Time: from submission to the first decision: about 7 weeks.
- Fast review cycle, rigorous standards, prestigious editorial board and reviewers
Audience Call
- For researchers: “Submit your best work”
- For readers: “Explore cutting-edge research”
- For reviewers: “Join our expert community” with a link to the Application to Enter the IEEE TMI Pool of Reviewers
Design Guidelines
- Professional and modern visual style (aligned with IEEE brand)
- Include space for a QR code to journal homepage
- Must be printable as A4 or US Letter
- Emphasis on informational points, readability and visual balance
- Tools that can be used: express.adobe.com, canva.com, or others!
ART4TMI Contest Details
- Eligibility: Open to all, including AEs, students, postdocs, and others in the TMI community
- Deadline: May 25, 2025
- Prize: Recognition in TMI, social media spotlight, monetary token [TBC]
- Judges: Selected AEs and EiC panel
